From my perspective, I am a sentient being called Paul Butters. I live on a world called Earth. I am told that I have lived here since 27th May 1952. I recall being 4 and thinking about going to school at 5. More vaguely I remember being a toddler, playing with some model “train” and a dog named Judy. My sister Joan appeared when I was 3.
From my point of view I don’t even know whether my parents
were “real”. I loved them so much, but that does not necessarily mean they were
real. Indeed the whole Universe, the whole of Existence, might not be real.
All I know is that I am here in Cleethorpes, right
now. Cleethorpes, what a sad thing to say! But I am here, right now. When you
read this, these words will be history.
People, if they exist, argue constantly about
Existence, Reality and whether there is a God. None of this matters to me.
“Reality” for me is what I perceive, and I have to engage with this reality, no
matter what.
My current understanding is that I will die within the
next 30 or 40 years. Sooner or later, who knows? The evidence is that
effectively everything will end for me when I die. Okay so others may live on
after I die, but what use is that to me? For me, all existence will end. I will
no longer be able to appreciate you!
Me? From my point of view I have to be the most
important person in the world. Above any Royalty or President or whatever. Sorry
if that sounds egotistic or arrogant. It is the only logical viewpoint.
My only “excuse” for these words is that I believe it
possible that I am part of “God”. Maybe we are all children of God. Or,
as I say, “part of” God. Perhaps God lives out all our lives, one after
another, for the fullness of Time. Indeed We might be “The One Mind”. Who
knows?
All that matters is that “I am The One” as far as I am
concerned. This is a logic I cannot avoid. That’s how I see it and that’s what
I say.
I am God (and therefore Allah et al). Perhaps. Yet in
this human form I have little Power. You are God too, maybe. I am almost
powerless as a human, but beyond this form, that may well be quite another
matter.
PS (21\2) Sorry if I have offended anyone here. God is
God. That’s if the Atheists are wrong and God exists. God may be a He, She,
both genders, or something else. They say that God is everywhere and in all of
us. That is why I can claim to be God myself, at least partly or indirectly.
Not the Whole God, just the bit that is Me. So if any religious-fanatic
terrorists “execute” someone, they had better know that they are killing part
of God. And I’m sure God would not be pleased with that. Just saying.
Paul
Butters
