A quick thought: people talk of “running on your toes” yet actually I think you are best running on your “pads”. Yes, that soft tissue where your toes are attached to your foot. Once you get going then maybe you might run up on your toes but I think you need to start on those pads.
Can’t recall going running
this year, to be honest. Intend to have a go soon. I hear the Council have sold
the King George (Taylor’s Avenue) Fields to Cleethorpes Rugby Club. That means
that the gate to the car park is kept locked. That’s not helpful but… Earlier
the school nearly claimed half the fields and turned them into a private
cross-country course. That didn’t help either.
There are still football
fields there and I intend to “stride one out” to determine whether it’s still a
full 100 metres. Nuff Said. Out.
PS That pitch is 109
strides\yards long, about 100 metres. Now to run it hehe.
